Mark Wilkinson

Managing Director

I joined the business in 2002 after working in America for 4 years in small business start-ups. In 2013 I took over the day to day oversight of the business and have been responsible for our strategic direction and external relationships since. We regularly take the camper van away; I enjoy the great outdoors and like getting beaten at football by my son.

Rebecca Knowles

Head of Operations and HR

I joined Norton in 2015 as HR Manager and became Head of Operations & HR in 2020. I’m responsible for the day-to-day running of the operational side of the business, heading up our Personal Lines, Commercial and Customer Services teams. I’m fortunate to have a great team, where we work collaboratively and have fun along the way. I love spending time with my children; together we love travelling, exploring new places, going for long walks and bike rides.

Andy McDonald

Underwriting and Product Development Manager

I joined Norton in 2017 to take care of and grow its in-house underwriting capacity; I develop our product offering in line with customer needs and market opportunities. As well as developing and managing products, I’m responsible for underwriting and risk acceptance, compliance, and manage a team that helps support the business in these areas. In my own time I’m an enthusiastic badminton player and run a badminton club that meets weekly.

Amber Coakes

Marketing Manager

I Joined Norton in January 2019 and look after Marketing for Norton and our other two brands: Heritage, which serves customers in need of specialist vehicle insurance , and Tradesure which is our commercial arm. It’s my responsibility to ensure we’re communicating clearly and in a helpful fashion with all our customers, making our services easy to understand and access. In my own time I like to blog, go walking and make things: candles, cakes, occasionally furniture.

Gary Moulder

Financial Controller

I joined Norton in 2018 and am responsible for anything related to the company’s financial position, from insurance reconciliation and credit control, to budget and financial regulation. We are a small team and have quite an impact on the overall business - the days are quite varied! My background includes working for charities, limited companies and in the commercial management of the University sector. I am a daily swimmer and enjoy an eclectic mix of music, theatre and play the piano. I love the coast and that’s where you will normally find me, when relaxing.
